Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals. In this role, you’ll drive business insights by analyzing data, while also building and maintaining the data foundations required for accurate, scalable reporting. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning raw data into meaningful decisions through both analysis and data infrastructure work.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decisions.
- Design and maintain automated data pipelines to ensure availability of clean and reliable data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into data requirements.
- Build dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to communicate insights effectively.
- Write optimized SQL and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency across systems.
- Document metrics, data definitions, and business logic for reusable analytics.
- Partner with data engineering or product teams to improve data access, structure, and workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, with exposure to data pipeline design.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
- Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting language for data manipulation.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate insights clearly.
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business functions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with basic ETL tools or workflow schedulers (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Exposure to cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of business KPIs and data governance practices.
- Knowledge of statistical methods or A/B testing is a plus.
